Graphing Calculators

A good graphing calculator can boost your math and science skills. Modern graphing calculators allow you to solve for a variable without rearranging an equation, use a spreadsheet for statistics similar to Excel, and graph conic sections in their various forms. At a certain point, a graphing calculator becomes a requirement, and investing in a good one makes a difference. I carry around a Casio fx-CG50 PRIZM® Color Grapher and highly recommend it; however, there are plenty of graphing calculators that are both powerful and affordable on the market. When I’m working on my computer or phone, I use Desmos, which offers an outstanding free graphing calculator.
Omni Calculator, CalculatorSoup, and Calculator.net all provide calculators tailored to specific topics.
Centers for Academic Success

Most colleges and universities offer free tutoring. As a former tutor, I highly recommend visiting your college or university’s tutoring center when you need assistance.
Mathway

Mathway is an excellent math solver owned by Chegg. I am a long-time user of this service, and I believe the premium account is well worth it, as it offers step-by-step solutions. Even without a premium account, Mathway can help double-check solutions.
